A backup agent is installed
on each server. The administrator will then
choose an encryption key and ensure that the
correct files and folders have been selected
for backup. The Client Agent then automatically
schedules backups according to the policies
set up by the administrator.

The software
will automatically detect network connections
and backup whilst online. The Client Agent
is a 100% JAVA application and, together with
the correct JRE (Java Runtime Environment),
can be installed onto most operating systems.
Backup Routine
Once installed
and configured a full backup is made of the
selected data, it is compressed, encrypted
and transmitted to the Remote Storage Platforms
hosted for Back2Go by Techgate plc.
An incremental
backup is then executed each night (according
to the schedule you set) that sends only the
changes made since the last backup to the
backup servers.
Backed
up data is replicated to a second storage
platform every 15 minutes so we always have
two copies of all of your backups in two geographically
separate locations.
At any time,
daily versions of files are available for
a minimum of 30 days to a maximum of 60 days
with 1 month end roll-up. This cycle can be
changed to suit the company’s requirement
e.g. daily backups can be extended as well
as the number of roll-ups kept on the Storage
Platform.
